Carlin
she/her
Barber-Stylist
@carlincuts
Regular schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs & FriCarlin is a neurodivergent & transgender barber-stylist specializing in effortless, easy-to-style, affirming haircuts for all genders. A third-generation hair human, Carlin has been in close proximity to the hair industry for their whole life. When she started her career, she wanted to find a way to bridge the separation between salons and barbershops — a divide that is clear even in hair education. Carlin apprenticed as a barber-stylist at Hairrari, a gender inclusive barber-salon, learning to cut both masc, femme and androgynous styles simultaneously. Someday she plans to revolutionize the way stylists and barbers are trained, so inclusivity of gender, race and ability is standard and reflected in the techniques new stylists learn. In addition to hair, Carlin’s interests include playing video games, reading fantasy and queer fiction, going to punk shows, learning the bass guitar, and getting tattooed.
